Desktop GUI
Nexus's desktop GUI package builds on fpGUI and supplies Pascal controls, windows, layout, rendering, and input support.
Use it for desktop interaction. Nexus Mobile serves the separate phone-oriented interface model; sharing an ecosystem does not require making both interfaces behave alike.
Explore a working application
Nexus Lab contains GUI examples, including a greeting window, a script editor, and virtual-tree examples. The source examples use sibling Nexus repositories and their declared project dependencies.
Review the example's .nxproject and build it through Nexus Build with the intended
target. Source-example requirements are distinct from the installed minimal
console-project workflow.
The GUI library lives in packages/nexus-packages/gui. Its project description
owns published source paths and dependencies, including the platform integration.
Avoid copying those paths into every application when the project can depend
on the GUI provider.
Ownership and events
Windows and controls use the existing GUI ownership and event mechanisms. An application supplies its state and handlers; the UI framework manages its control hierarchy.
Platform-specific examples are evidence for those platforms only. Retained upstream platform code does not establish that every Nexus GUI configuration has been built and exercised.
See Nexus Build dependencies and the package overview.
