Nexus projects
A .nxproject describes a Nexus Build project: its identity, explicit dependencies,
published directories, and ordered build operations.
A project can compile Pascal or C/C++, run CMake/MSBuild/MSVC, publish existing sources, or group dependencies. A source-only project needs no compiler step.
Start with Hello, then use the Nexus Build guide for larger projects.
Existing Pascal projects
The extension retains adapters for Lazarus .lpi projects and direct FPC
workflows. Those use their corresponding installed tools and project context.
They do not make Lazarus or upstream FPC necessary for a Nexus Pascal application.
Importing a project does not establish compatibility with every compiler option, GUI framework, or external component used by that project. Review the generated description and build the application with its intended toolchain.
Mobile applications
Mobile applications use the Nexus engine and Lua resources. A compiler backend, its RTL, an Android SDK, and an engine package serve different purposes; installing one does not replace the others. See Mobile controls and Android setup.
